Home staging by the Vecht and in Het Gooi
Buyers find it hard to picture life in an empty house. How large is that room really, where would the dining table stand, will a double bed fit with space either side? A house that has been thoughtfully furnished answers those questions before anyone asks them, and lets buyers feel what it is like to live there.
Our partner for this is Brandt & Eskes Verkoopstyling. For a period they furnish your house with pieces selected for its style and for the buyers we expect to attract. We plan it around the photography and the first viewings, so everything is in place on the day your house goes online.
Who are Brandt & Eskes?
Lisette Brandt and Yorieke Eskes started Brandt & Eskes Verkoopstyling together. Lisette has a passion for interiors and a sharp eye for detail, while Yorieke knows the property market and the selling process from years of experience. Together they furnish a house not for a glossy magazine, but for the person who is meant to buy it.
Their collection is their own, with work by young designers and Dutch furniture makers among it. Buyers who fall for a sofa or a lamp can often arrange to keep it.
They are used to working alongside estate agents and developers, and to fitting their work into the schedule for photography, viewings and handover.

From first advice to the final viewing
Our advice at the first visit
When we first come to your house we consider whether staging would help. For an empty house the answer is nearly always yes. If it would not add anything, we will tell you so.
Proposal from Brandt & Eskes
Brandt & Eskes visit the house and propose how to furnish it. Their quote reaches you before anything is decided.
Furnished before the photographer
The furniture arrives just before the photographer does. Because we plan both together, the photos and floor plans show the furnished house from day one.
Viewings
Buyers walk into a house that feels complete. Viewings are more relaxed and the conversation about price becomes more concrete.
Collection or a longer stay
Once the house is sold everything is collected, unless the buyer has arranged to keep certain pieces. Would you like the furniture to stay until the transfer? We arrange that with Brandt & Eskes.

Ask about home staging
Tell us a little about your house. We will be in touch soon to arrange a visit together with Brandt & Eskes.
What does home staging cost?
Staging is not part of our commission. Brandt & Eskes send you their own quote beforehand and you pay them directly. We include it in your selling plan, so you can see every cost of the sale together before you commit.
Questions sellers ask about staging
When is staging worth it?
Above all with an empty house, an unusual layout, or a price range in which buyers compare many options. Furniture shows what a room can do, and buyers see it in the photos before they ever book a viewing.
When does the furniture go?
After the sale, or later if you prefer the furniture to stay until the transfer. We agree the timing with Brandt & Eskes so that collection never clashes with the final inspection.
Can the buyer keep pieces?
Often, yes. Much of the Brandt & Eskes collection is for sale, and they agree the details with the buyer directly.
